A cruise might seem like a great choice of vacation. The open seas and a different location every day may seem like a dream come true. But make no mistake cruises are notoriously expensive.
A typical cruise may cost up to and beyond two thousand dollars. This often means that this type of vacation may be out of reach for many people.
1. Don't just reserve the first cruise you see. Hunt around a bit and search on the net until your fingers hurt. And when you think you have found that bargain, search a little more. Believe it or not the first price that you find is often negotiable. Don't accept the first price they give you, if you have found a few good deals then play them off against each other, don't be scared, these people are trained professionals they won't be offended and the very worst that can happen is that they say no.
2. Keep your eyes and ears on the cruise lines. Sign up to their newsletters and try and keep an eye on what they are all up to. Very often the cruise lines themselves will send special offers to people on their news list especially if they are launching a new package or a new ship. In fact if they are launching a new ship they will sometimes try to drum up interest by offering some ludicrous deals.
3. Go out of season. Not everybody has to take their vacation at certain times. If you are one of these lucky few then you are likely to snap up a bargain. Going out of season can save you an unimaginable number of dollars.
Bargain cruises are there for the taking if you only know where to look.
