Golf can be a frustrating game and is one of the only games where the aim is a lower score. Golf takes practice and practice and more practice but there are ways that you can easily improve your game. Often the player just needs to be shown or told what to do. Below are the 3 best ways to improve your golf score.

1. Work on your drive. Generally the further you can hit the ball the better your score will be. Practice your driving at one of the many driving ranges. Loosen up a bit, you don't need to be strangling the club to hit the ball a good distance. The more relaxed you are the better you are likely to drive. If you have a bad slice then you need to adjust your stance, a slice is caused when the club face doesn't hit the ball when it is vertical.

2. Improve your short game. Most players drop the majority of their strokes on the short game. This is putting and chipping. These two techniques could make or break your game. Again practice plays a large part of it but you can improve your putting and chipping by adjusting your swing and stance. Relax a little and try and hit the ball when the club face is vertical.

3. Perfect your swing. Whether it be your short or your long game that is letting you down, a great golf swing is essential. The key to a good swing is a nice relaxed grip and a position right over the ball. Remember the key is to control the ball and the only way you can achieve this is by hitting it with a vertical club. By this I mean that your club face should hit the ball when the club is vertical.

Perfecting your golf game can be frustrating but it is more than possible.

There are many things to work on when it comes to improving your game. I would suggest that a person get an instructor to evaluate their swing and come up with a plan for improving it. Write down short and long term goals. Consistently review and work on your goals and you will see improvements.
